Training courses on environmental and sustainable tourism marketing issues

Four training courses organized by the Marine Protected Area “Asinara Island” thanks to specific funding from the Ministry of Ecological Transition kicked off.

These are activities considered essential to implement the level of awareness on environmental issues among operators and companies that carry out their activities in the Protected Area. The courses are aimed at those working in fishing and fishing tourism, tourist accommodation, and underwater tourism. A specific course is geared toward training personnel to cope with the beaching of petroleum products on the shores of Manine Protected Areas.

Contents cover tourism marketing from an environmental and sustainable perspective, the flora and fauna of the Marine Protected Area, the Gulf of Asinara and the Mediterranean, and the regulatory framework governing the use of the sea.

The courses are free of charge and will be held in synchronous videoconferencing mode: they last 48 hours each and each is for a total of 25 participants, who will be issued a certificate of attendance at the end of the course.

The organizing partner of the courses is the Heraclitean Academy, a Research and Higher Education Organization.
